Does unemployment really count as taxable incom?

I don't know whether to claim my unemployment or not. According to irs.gov unemployment is not earned income, so if you only get credit for earned income why would you want to claim it? I have recieved my 1099-G, according to answers on a similar question it is taxable but absolutely zero taxes were withheld from my unemployment so I don't think I'm going to claim it. It only harms my refund if I do. So why should I?

Do you think that the Highland Games is a perfect example of the gl ceiling for women?

The Highland Games aren't a good example of a gl ceiling. I'm sure that if there were women out there who are strong enough to toss a caber and interested in trying to catch a huge greased pig, if there were women who *had* beer bellies and didn't mind showing them off, they'd be part of the competition. Women aren't kept out of the competition because they are women. They don't compete because they aren't strong enough.

Strange Coincidence?

I don't think it's monetary, either. I do believe perhaps it has to do with the fact that there are tons of choices for music these days. Not that Rap and R&B weren't popular in Nirvana's day, but it's waaay more popular now than it once was. Right now, Rock isn't really the huge 'moneymaker' it's always been accustomed to being, so maybe it's not necessarily that there aren't great bands playing out there, it's just there's alot more music competing for fans. 5 or 10 years from now, this will probably change yet again, as music always tends to do.

I want one really badly. they seem perfect for me. they need playtime (which I love) they love you back, unlike hamsters which i recently found out don't like to be handled by people much at all. they can also be kept outside (i kno, i kno i will give em' lots of love and attention even though they are outside) now here is the problem.
