Does anyone have info on programs that will help out with emotional problems for a 7 year boy?

My 7 year old son has anger management problems. Like today for instance on the bus ti school he was hitting one of the other kids with a seat belt and the broom the bus driver uses to clean the bus with....so he got suspended off the bus, he knew he was already in trouble and on the way home after school he was sitting w/ another boy and the boy was "being mean" by talking about another childs mom and dad and my son says that the boy said if my son wanted him to be his friend that had to beat the other boy up so of course he did and now he's off the bus even longer. I'm just so frustrated because he just got off of out of school suspension for playing too rough at recess. Someone suggested I take him down to the juvenile detention center for the day and let him experience that. I was wondering if that is possible kind of like the scared staight method. I live in the Saint Louis, Missouri area and tried to find info on the net but hit a "brick-wall".
