I put a hole in our 3 inch pvc water drain pipe when putting up cabinets. I cut the drywall and noticed the hole is at the the very top of the pipe where it meets the elbow, making it impossible to just cut the pipe and fix properly unless I cut up into the rafters and change out the elbow also. What would hold up for this repair if I just put a screw up in it, and do you think that would suffice? Like coat a screw with JB Weld, pvc piping cement, or another product? Maybe a rubber hose patch of some sort clamped on?
