I make up weird sandwiches and dips?

I know this may sound like a stupid question. Ok I went to quiznos with my dad and I ordered a primo meatball and added some ranch and black olives to it with a cup of chili. Now my dad asked me Why do you mix up sandwiches, drinks, and dips like make combinations with them? I said "Cause I like to and it seems like a good match and it taste yummy" And he said ".. Hmhm You're.." and didn't complete the sentence. Is this an insult? And also do you think my combinations are weird? It may be weird but at least it taste good to me.
