What the hell is the point of a tax credit?? (you either get money that was yours already, or someone else's)?

THAT, is the trillion dollar question, and you could say that about every single thing the government does for you that you are capable of doing yourself. I would like it, if the government would release a "Cost of Operation" form that shows how much of our money it costs to handle our money. You know, kind of like those paperwork and administration charges the dealership puts in when you buy a car.
