Windows media center edition<<<need hel[p?

if you have windows xp and you install svcpack1or2 the system becomes a later version of xp.i can think of 2 options;;;remove the svc packs and updates,but doing this you may be taking a chance of your computer having boot failure afterwards,,no#2 you can extract media center from the 5 in one,and copy its folder contents to a disc,,if you can do this it will solve your issue,because you will be able to boot from the cd and install a fresh copy of windows.
